I began my investment career in 1984 at an Ohio municipal bond broker-dealer, where I spent more than a decade developing a keen understanding of the Federal Reserve, interest rates, and bond investment strategies. In 1995, I shifted my stock market focus to Technical Analysis of pricing trends to gain a better understanding of stock valuations during the growing technology bubble. I joined A.G. Edwards & Sons in 1996 (A.G. Edwards was purchased by Wachovia in 2007, which became Wells Fargo Advisors in 2008). In 2012, I joined Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. and opened the Columbus office as branch manager.

I have a great deal of valuable experience helping my clients navigate turbulent financial waters. I believe that the financial crash of 2008 was the dramatic end to the 25-year expansion that began in 1983, and was the beginning of a new long-term cycle of economic growth. This is the basis of my current investment advisory models.

My clients generally include high-net-worth families and individuals (many of whom desire federal tax-free income), small businesses, retirement plans, and non-profit organizations.

My education includes Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, The Ohio State University, Hiram College, and the Securities Industry Association’s three-year program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, as well as a stint in the United States Navy. I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2007 and became an Industry Arbitrator for FINRA (the securities industry regulator) that same year.

I am married with three children, I enjoy classical music and marching music performances, and I have a pretty good eye for sporting clays. I tend to be analytical, but learned long ago that parts of investing are as much about human nature and psychology as about scientific or mathematical analysis. My three decades of making investment decisions have taught me patience and humility, and I bring these lessons with me into the office each and every day as I work toward achieving the goals my clients envision for themselves.
